Black Matter Engravings
These engravings accompany the kinetic work Black Matter. They began as pen and ink drawings that predicted the patterns that would emerge from a mechanism of square and oval cogs which, with the help of thousands of magnets, draw intricate lines of magnetite onto a satin surface.
